About the Plan
HDFC Life QuickProtect is a comprehensive insurance solution that offers protection against death, disease, and disability. It combines multiple benefits into one plan, including life cover, accidental death benefit, critical illness cover for 19 specified illnesses, and income benefit on accidental total permanent disability. Policyholders can choose from three sum assured options: ₹75 lakh, ₹1 crore, and ₹1.25 crore. In the event of accidental total permanent disability, the plan provides a regular monthly income equal to 1% of the rider sum assured for the next 10 years. Additionally, the plan offers quick issuance without the need for medical examinations, subject to underwriting.

Features of the Product
Zero Cost Option
HDFC Life offers a Zero Cost Term Insurance option, which allows policyholders to receive a return of basic premiums paid upon survival until the end of the policy term.
Total Permanent Disability Payout
"Waiver of Premium on TPD" option (often called a rider), and you become totally and permanently disabled, all future premiums under the policy will be waived.
Premium Payment Customizations
HDFC Life offers a range of premium payment frequencies to suit your needs. You can choose to pay your premiums annually, half-yearly, quarterly, or monthly, based on your financial convenience.
Flexibility to Change: You can usually change your premium payment frequency later on, often on a policy anniversary. This allows you to adapt to changes in your financial situation.
Exclusions
Suicide within 12 months refunds premiums instead of full benefits.
Pre-existing diseases diagnosed within 36 months are not covered.
Self-inflicted injuries, including suicide attempts, are not covered.
Illnesses from alcohol or drug use are not covered.
War-related illnesses and injuries are not covered.
Hazardous sports or activities leading to illness are not covered.
Criminal activities resulting in illness or injury are excluded.
Nuclear contamination and biological weapons-related illnesses are excluded.
Cosmetic surgery-related conditions, unless necessary, are not covered.
Maternity complications unrelated to critical illness are not covered.
Exclusions
Accidental Death Benefit - Accidental Death Benefit (ADB): Provides an additional sum assured equal to the base cover in case of death due to an accident.
Income Benefit on Accidental Disability Rider: Offers a regular monthly income, typically 1% of the rider sum assured, for 10 years if total permanent disability occurs due to an accident.
Critical Illness Plus Rider - Provides a lump sum payout upon diagnosis of any of the 19 specified critical illnesses, aiding in medical expenses and recovery.

Non-smokers are statistically considered to be less of a risk to insure. Therefore, they are often offered lower premium rates compared to smokers for the same coverage amount
Note :
Grace period : HDFC Life QuickProtect offers a grace period of 30 days for annual, half-yearly, and quarterly premium payments, and 15 days for monthly payments, allowing policyholders extra time to pay premiums without policy lapse.
Free look period: HDFC Life QuickProtect offers a free look period of 15 days from policy receipt, allowing you to review terms and cancel if unsatisfied. For policies purchased through distance marketing, this period extends to 30 days.
Suicide Clause: If the policyholder commits suicide within 12 months of policy inception, HDFC Life Quick Protect Plan does not pay death benefits to the nominee.
